Suggestions for Winter / year round tyres

Hi all, firstly I realise the title is a bit of a oxymoron Smile

I've been using Vredstein Wintrac Pro for a few years, I prefer snow / mud tyre are we live down a muddy track, when the weather comes in, the snow can drift. We also live up a pretty steep hill, however I've noticed that the front have started to tear up on the edges, I dont drive agresssively (at all), so I'm thinking these aren't suitable for my use or year round.

Just wondering on people's thoughts / suggestions on a tyre which will have longevity during none-winter, but ones that will perform in snow..

Possible to have the best of both? Probabaly not but thought I'd ask.
Thanks

best boots i used are Duratracs and Cross Climates 2 SUV

first for longevity second for super quiet ride and few MPGs more on long runs across Europe

I have Michelin Cross Climate 2’s on three of my cars (all 2wd). I have the SUV version on a rwd car. All of them are superb with a great wear rate. I swear by them as an all year round tyre.

Although I can’t vouch for their performance off road, I can’t see why the SUV version shouldn’t be fine for anything that’s not too extreme.

I had cross climates on my peugeot 207, they lasted 30k miles. Obvioulsy not a AT/MT but for road use excellent.
For the disco I'm considering these
Compasal WinterBlazer UHP <£100/tyre
 Previous LR's
Disco 300tdi - burnt itself out on my drive - heated windscreen wiring shorted out.
P38 HSE Vogue V8 Petrol-oh so very expensive and engine died but very nice whilst it worked
