That ring is not accessible without removing the front clear plastic lens.
I've replaced one on a headlamp, but it's not an easy job and easy to break the tabs or ruin the lens. A heat gin is needed to soften the glues holding the lens to the black back of the headlamp, and there's alot of careful prying involved.
The headlamps are expensive, and even more so if you have the active type where they turn with your steering angle.
I'd remove the headlamp and have a go at repositioning the silver ring, then carefully applying super glue through the bulb holes...IF there's access...but it'll need a bent tool to drip the glue into place.
I'd give that a go first stop...2011 MY D4 HSE

Thank you, I do have the "adaptive" one that lights during corner turn.
the one I have is :
EH22-13W030-GE
L319 14MY Headlamp-ABL-RHD LHS
23/02/16
L319 14MY DBL GTG
which is difficult to find online, but I found this one :
EH22-13W030-GD
L319 14MY Headlamp-ABL-RHD LHS
25/06/15
L319 14MY DBL GTG
I was told the ABL stands for Active Bending Lights, better known to us as adaptive xenons
and my car is indeed RHD Right Hand Drive, so I should be fine, I think.
does anyone know if there is any subtle difference between the -GE and the -GD ?
