Guys. As a newbie to D4 ownership, I seem to be asking more questions on here, rather than making some positive contribution - my apologies.
But does anybody have a part number, or detailed description of the metal panel that runs under the Disco4?
It appears to be roughly from beneath the gearbox, rearwards to roughly the rear of the rear seats.
My one is rusting through, and I suspect I need to get a replacement.

Sounds like you might be describing the fuel tank cradle? On the drivers side of the car, a little lower at the back than the front and has a circular drain hole near the rear. They have a nasty habit of collecting mud and water and rusting through.
If that’s what it is there are two types depending on your chassis number. If you look up the cradle on suppliers websites you should be able to get both kinds, I did mine this summer and got one off eBay. Bear in mind it actually supports the fuel tank, so replace it when the tank is nearly empty and you’ll need to either disconnect the hoses to the fuel pump or (much easier) work some straps under the tank to hold it up while you drop the cradle off.

Once again, thank you guys for your responses.
I’ll see if I can find a replacement for my indie to fit. I’m too old and decrepit to be crawling under vehicles these days…..  I’m a Disco 4 believer. What a vehicle!
