Mine failed in the condenser - lower left when viewed through the bumper opening. Others have also had it fail in same place. Also fails where front joins rear. Plenty of threads on various leaks under "aircon leak".2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Ideally you need to get it nitrogen pressure tested. Check condenser in front of radiator, and pipework joint on nearside of car by compressor. Sometimes you can see oil around joints when they leak.Good luck

I've found these to be useful when searching for leaks, you just need an appropriate dye.

Mine was visible due to the oil around the leak. Dye confirmed.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

front to rear pipes on n/s are common, leaks at joints can try new seals but best bet is to seal off at front or fit none rear a/c pipes (at front).

Thanks for the replies, its up on the 4 poster tonight for tranns service, so will sweet talk van man as I think hes got the nitrogen bottle, might have a go myself and see what I can blow up
Ive had a quick poke around today but could not see anything obvious, but it was bloody cold!
I hope it the condenser rad as that would be the easiest.
I did try the search but the results were very varied, tried a/c, a/con, air con, air conditioning etc only thing I could find was the condenser posts.

If you do have to replace the condenser, do it the way (I think) Mikey did it and remove the front of the car (well parts of it). Easier than the way I did it which was to move the radiator towards the engine to make enough space for removal.2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Mine is leaking from the dryer where the pipes bolt on, I bought new 'O' rings and might get around to changing them soon and take it to Kwikfit for no fill no charge to check if it worked.
This is cheap enough if it needs replacing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301355532803?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

Manufactures starting adding it at the factory.
Check the AC label. If it says UV on the yellow slam panel, itโs probably got it.

Rear pipes are very common. I have just replaced mine on my D4. I found the O rings leaking. But a big leak I. The rear pipe across the rear crossmember/ axle. I had to order the parts from LR and fitted myself. It was a pain in the ass. But worth having the rear AC. But if you really not bothered. Blank it and save the hassle. ๐
