What happens at 2200rpm ?

I'm slowly working on tracking down the cause of a P006A-00 error, "Manifold absolute pressure - mass or volume air flow correlation".

It doesn't do it every time but I've come to notice that when it does do it, it's consistently at 2200rpm. I can cruise at 70-80 no problem (<2k rpm). I can drop a few gears and accelerate up & down 3-4k rpm no problem. It's accelerating moderately hard through 2200rpm that seems to do it.

From what I've read the second turbo kicks in at 2800rpm so it's not that, not directly anyway.

Any ideas ?

I'm perversely hoping it's the inlet manifold(s) so I can buy some alloy ones Very Happy

Similar to what I had,

Secondary turbo kicks in around 2.5k.

With a boost leak the the measured air flow is not what the computer is expecting and throws an error. Get a smoke test done to confirm.

I have been running alloy manifolds for over a year, all good!

I would say your wish has been granted Very Happy A smoke test will probably confirm it.

I take it the manifolds cured it then ?

I'm a bit strange... I do all my own spannering and don't like other people working on my cars, I'd genuinely rather spend a weekend doing manifolds than a couple of hours taking it somewhere for a smoke test to see if it's the manifolds. I know it's not logical Laughing
