So got a bit of a strange one.
Car starts drives and behaves great (yes, I know, that’s strange in itself) however, randomly, after I’ve parked up and left the car, I’ll come back to find the trip computer has reset, trip 0, ave speed 0 etc, on a rare occasion, the radio has also lost the station the clock has reset to 00:00 and the epb states that it’s not engaged.
Key in, and starts no problem. Doesn’t happen every time, probably twice a week or so.
Suspecting the main earth corroded but if it’s a bad wire somewhere wouldn’t it be more likely to happen during driving with the vibration etc? It only happens when it’s parked up and locked.
Any thoughts? 2008 HSE Stornoway Grey

Like a lazy person. I hadn’t done anything about this for weeks. Today parked at the shops. Got in turned key and nothing, zilch, nada. Wife and kids started reminding me about landrover reliability as I popped the bonnet. As a starter, popped the cover off the battery and tada! Lead had come off the earth terminal must have been loosening over time hence the random no power. Spammers from the boot and all fixed
