[For Sale] 2007 discovery 3 GS
For sale is my 2007 GS auto with only 94500 miles and full service history. I purchased it last year as a breaker and donor for my own as I need a new auto box and as this had such low mileage seemed the ideal candidate. It had several issues including coolant manifold leaking, oil cooler gasket leaking and vacuum pump leaking. I decided fairly quickly that it was just too good to break so set about doing the jobs. These included the following.
Oil cooler gasket
Vacuum pump seals
RH inlet manifold gasket
Coolant manifold seals
All glow plugs
Rear callipers and pads
The car has a full history listed below. There are also various invoices for repairs etc carried out, but not many and looking at the car I would say that because it hasn’t needed much! Cam belts etc were done 4 years and 10k miles ago. Oil light goes out almost immediately with no rattling and previous owner advised he was told by the previous owner to him that it had an uprated oil pump which they supplied so not on the garage invoice.

I have left the underside with the exception of giving the fuel tank guard and air tank a wire brush over and spray. They are both in very good order and a morning with a wire brush and can of dinitrol would bring it up as new. The cills are in good order and the steps only went in in 2017. It has recently had a remap and egr blank so it goes very well and mpg is incredible, well it would be as I have a mapped tdv8 l320 as well!
Overall I was tempted to swap all my bits from the Tonga to this, but I have acquired a D4 that needs an engine so this will go to fund that. I can put it in a ramp to show any prospective buyer the underside and answer any questions. I’m not a trader just someone who enjoys fixing things. It even has the front towing cover attached and a detachable tow hook. 2 keys and the original load cover! Obviously they’re are a few marks due to its age, but it is very very tidy. Just been MOTd so almost 12 months, tyres are all over 6mm and premium tyres. Only areas I would do if keeping would be a set of discs as the rear are a bit lipped, fronts due to a bit of vibration when breaking and maybe tie rods as a bit of a knock on uneven surfaces, these are all minor things that a DIY person could do or cheap enough by a specialist.
I am asking £4500 which I feel is fair given the condition, history and mileage. Located in Melton Mowbray.

New compressor fitted. Price lowered to £4000 as I need to fix the D4 asap!
