This was very interesting and made me chuckle out loud. This is what Utube was made for.
Lord only knows where it should live on the forum. Mods please feel free to bat it around until it lands….

Anyone remember the old Cresta adverts - 'It's frothy man' !?
Very entertaining, and also slightly reassuring too. Currently 2009 Disco 3 SE, 2013 MY D4 HSE and 2016 D4 SE

Yes, thanks for posting this! Really interesting. I was impressed by the fabrication skills before we even got to the oil! Previously:

I would also wonder how effective a lubricant the oil is once it is so heavily aerated? I suspect plain bearings such as the mains/big ends won't like it.
A bit like the Top Gear speed camera testing episode "we have done this, so you don't need to try it yourself" A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.

I worked for BMC back in the middle 1960's , when the Austin/Morris 1800 was launched and we had a lot of these exact issues with owners overfilling with oil, usually with the idea of just being safe , when venturing onto the what were then "new" motorways . The crank would start churning up the oil, it becoming aerated , and the engine seize as the oil wouldn't pump round . It was eventually solved by lowering both the oil level and the oil pump pick up plus a new dipstick
