private plate
hi everybody.
just bought a private plate of dvla.
what now, do i recieve something to register it or just get plates made up?
thankshad a d1 ,d2 a land mark d4 for 3 days now have awsome d4 in orkney grey hse sdv6 my12

When I did mine I waited for the reg certificate, then used the online form to assign it to the vehicle. At that point you can put the new plates on the car.2022 BMW i4 M50. Bought Oct 2022. 10,200 miles and counting...

wait for reg document to arrive
get plates made up
assign reg online
notify insurance to change reg plate to new reg

Nope. Caught me out when I went to renew a couple of weeks early.
But that was years ago ... might be better now it's online?.

MOT just changes reg, all the details on the system will be there as it the car’s always had that reg.

Technically all registrations belong to the DVLA who have authority to withdraw their use, regardless if you paid for a 'personalised' one or not.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
