I am having trouble with my door speakers. As I drive along the sound swaps from the right to left unless i have it quite loud and then all is ok.
Has anyone else had this experience? Disco 4 Sept 09

Not exactly the same but the sound from my front left passenger door speaker reduces from time to time ( all I can hear is the small tweeter ) and to get it back I just need to turn up the volume. It is strange and does not seem to be a dodgy connection as it works fine over bumps.

I had this trouble with the drivers door bass speaker....dealer found a loose connection at the rear of the speaker. 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Like Wavey said, doesn't seem to be a loose connection as it never goes whilst travelling over bumps etc. If anything it seems more voltage related (if I get "transmission reduced" I seem to get speaker problems). Just turn the volume up to correct then back down and it's all ok. Disco 5 HSE Lux

Same here. I've had a right saga over this over about the last two years. I got the garage to swap out an amp, and it didn't stop it. The symptom was the same - the sound would drop out of one or more of the door speakers. To rectify the problem all I have to to is turn the volume up and the dormant speaker kicks back into life. After about 8 trips to the dealer (Stratstone Nottingham) they changed one of the door speakers and it seemed to stop for a long time. It came back a few months ago. it. I just tweak the volume when it happens now.
I would love to know what the problem is though.
cheers

I have had this problem for quite a while, have now proven if you tap the offending speaker it comes good, same deal if you turn the volume up, I'm sure I have read in the forum somewhere it is simply loose connection at the speakers. The dealer has had the car and did not come up with a solution, but too me its easy, solder the connections and the problem will be fixed. D4 TDV6 MY13' - 2 weeks away!

This does look like a "global" problem, so I've set up a poll and a new thread in the Navigation, Entertainment and Electronics area. Hope it's OK with you guys to move this there.
