[Wanted] D3 Auto - Glasgow

Hi all,

Looking for a D3 Auto with a decent level of specification, closer to Glasgow the better - Been to see a couple that have been listed locally on marketplace and trader but not found the one yet!

Would love a V8 but understand these are like hens teeth.

Cheers.
Wullie.

Wullie, I would travel south in search of one, if I were you. Anything north of Birmingham and you are running a much higher risk of rust being an issue at the age all D3s are now.

Not saying there are no good D3s available north of Birmingham, or they are all good south of there, but you are playing with probabilities. I went 525 miles south for my one and would do the same again if I had to!

As above, bought both my last two cars from South of London.. actually works out cheaper collecting by flying down than having to take trains etc the long drive back is a good time to get to know the car.

Message Disco Mikey and see if he knows of anyone selling (one that’s been maintained by him!) Thumbs Up

Thanks guys,

I have been to see a couple locally which were no where as described(or much worse lol) which had led to my frustration.

I’ll widen my search criteria!

Glad you've got something in your sights! I would have preferred a manual for a number of reasons, but have to admit, that I am quite liking the auto. I'd also have preferred to have paid the price that Yogi is looking for! Laughing

Dude - Its a bargain of a price tbh, Manual I'm ok with, but realistically Its a third motor I'm after for the dogs, If I get a manual its only me who can take them in the motor as the boss lady wont drive anything but an auto! Rolling Eyes and given I'm away from home a lot its no really viable. Laughing

Good luck! Been searching for a V8 up this way for months. I'd echo the comments about casting the net wider, recently got pipped to the post on a lovely V8 down near Exeter. Wasn't looking forward to the flight + 2 hour train & bus though Laughing

On with it LREcosse I spent 2 years running up and down to Tiverton - the Exeter adventure would have been a right slog mind you. Laughing

I'm not adverse to having a courier pick up for me if I feel its the right motor.

Think part of my trouble is the ones I have looked at have been some wildly described vs reality that it is often difficult to trust anymore. Shocked

Work is so hectic at the moment I've not had much time to scope out options - alas the hunt continues.

Awra best,

Wullie.

The irony of it is, if I already had myself a D3 I'd be more than happy to make the trip down in it Laughing

I'm in two minds about the courier route - on the one hand flights, train tickets, airport parking, time off work - on the other hand, v8 goodness delivered to my doorstep on a platter...come to think of it Idea
