Rotational noise like Park Brake Shoes…. But not….

Hope you’re well.
My D3 has developed a rattle like sound from the rear.
Speeds up as the car get faster then slows down again as the car slows down. More prominent under acceleration and it has developed a vibration from the rear also….. Doesn’t do it while stationery reving engine, etc. Only while moving.
Sounds very much like a stone in the back plate or Park Brake Show has come loose but I’ve stripped them and all seems fine. Also had a quick spy at the Prop Shaft mounts but they also seem pretty secure and don’t seem to have much play….
Hoping someone else has come up against this????

Have you checked the centre bearing mount on the rear prop?

Good morning.
I only had a quick spy in at prop to be fair.
Anything in particular I should be looking for or would it be quite obvious? Do you know if there’s a way to prove it’s that that’s gone?

If it's gone you'll know. The rubber will be split.

Check the near side rear brake cable is not rubbing on the tyre, the support bracket is known to wear through and allows the cable to rub on the front of the rear tyre, although this wouldn’t cause a vibration.It can when others can't,

Climb under the car an grab the centre of the prop near the centre mounting (just forward of the heat shield), and see if you can move it laterally. (ie up and down) If it moves, the centre bearing is shot and can be replaced for a lot less that a complete shaft. The suggestion by M3DPO is a good shout as the slight cable movement during handbrake operation over time wears through the cable guide freeing it loose.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ
