Water coming through A pillar |
|
Hi All, I have water coming through the A pillar when the car has been standing a while in wet weather, It a few drips through the A pillar air bag area, I’ve recently replaced the exterior a pillar clips thinking this would solve the issue but not to be, Just hoping the water isn’t settling elsewhere in the car , Landmark non sunroof model, any advice appreciated

id say take the trim off on a dry day and go round it with a hose. I remember watching LR Time on Youtube and there was a lug to cut off on the A post trim as a recall as it pierced a hole and aloud water in but not sure if it was top or bottom.
Also could be top corner of windscreen not sealed correctly or maybe below the capping on the roof where the bars would go?
best of luck

This might help you. Plenty of pointers in here relating to the A-Pillar and Tech Bulletin LA-501-006.

Thanks for the replies, Much appreciated, I previously had a D3 with the wet passenger floor issue from the sunroof drains so have experience in that one , Mines currently a Landmark non sunroof model and the water is coming through the drivers side A pillar , Will check again around wind screen, Will have a look at that bulletin
