Yaw rate sensor fault?

Hi,

I have the following codes coming up, but the car doesn't drop or anything, the gear changes and a bit abrupt some times but not always. I've cleared the codes twice now and they've returned. It's been suggested it's the brake switch, which I'm going to order just in case, but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions. It's a 2009 Discovery 4, 3.0 SDV6. Apparently it's had a new battery recently too.

I’d say it needs a Yaw sensor Laughing

Jags usually have 3 of them. Front, back, middle.
Don’t know about D4

I know that's the obvious answer, but the obvious answer isn't always the right one, especially with these cars! I've ordered a used one from GoS, so hopefully that'll cure the problem.

Now I just need to find it, from what I can see, it's supposed to be under the fridge, but not always!

Out of interest could this affect the transmission gear changes?

That location does sound familiar.

Again in jags….. It won’t change gear if you are cornering hard. So yes it’s possible it could effect gear changes

I had a thread on this not so long ago, i also ordered a used sensor....
Not changed it yet as this particular issue has not been back for a while.... and it looks a pig to get to.
I have since had issues with the central locking..... i found several pints of water in the n/s wiring loom from the usual A pillar trim leak. No idea if the yaw sensor wiring comes off that loom or not but my central locking now works again. I also have water in the o/s which i will have a go at the weekend (and get a dehumidifier in the motor to properly dry out the carpets/ spongy bits....)
let us know how you get on Thumbs Up
