The drivers' and driver's side inside passenger doors have be well rained on recently - getting in and out of the car - I have noticed white marks appearing where the rain has dried. Tried a damp cloth, but seem to just whiten the whole panel (black interior)
Before my assault on the local Halfords, can anybody recommend anything that works particularly well D3 HSE V8...

Mine used to do that
Damp chamois with a (tiny) bit of fairy liquid seems to work Now Golf GTI PP, 7 speed DSG.

This whitening is a symptom of the manufacturing process. It will work itself out of the internal liners in about 2-3 months. Something leaches out of the plastic apparently.

There is actually a Service Bulletin about this, apparently its a antioxidant in the material that does it, as Winger says works it way out of the material in a few months. The bulletin basically tells dealers to wash it with a weak solution of washing-up liquid and water The End

Glad I asked. I thought the white was from the rain. Really does look quite messy, especially where the rain water has run.
The washing up liquid has helped and seems to have removed the white marks, although from what you say, it'll just have to work its way out.
Anyway, clean again!
For a bit
Cheers guys D3 HSE V8...

Aaaaah, I recognise this now. It's like a matt white "bloom" isn't it?
I've had it for ages. I'll try the washing up liquid trick.
