Restoring roof rails
Hi all
Would anyone have experience of restoring black roof rails? They look like a black anodised aluminium- is that right? They’ve been damaged by traffic film remover. I wondered if a metal polish might restore, or at least make them look better. Or will it need to be a repair/reanodised? Here’s how they look now.

It works very well on many surfaces (I have tried) and would be a lot quicker (and cheaper) than stripping them off.
