Thanks Gstuart. That photo of the mk 1 Escort makes me feel nostalgic.
Here in New Zealand, my first car in the mid 80's when I was a teenager was a 1967 105E Ford Anglia. I absolutely loved that car. I had two friends with mk 1 Cortina's, another friend had a mk1 escort, another had a mk 1 Capri. Another had a mk4 zephyr.
We loved those late 60's early 70's British Ford's. They would all be worth ridiculous amounts of money now.
Cheers Blake

Hi Blake
So pleased it bought back happy memories
Had a mint green escort mark 1 but alas the rust got hold of it on the engine bulkhead and footwells , sadly hadn’t been looked after and was beyond repair as would have needed more plates that original panels, lol
They do fetch decent money these days , always adored the jenson interceptors
My late uncle had a Mk 1 cortina , useto have great holidays in the new forest
One of my mates useto tear his hair out with the automatic choke on his I think was a mark 4 cortina
Talking of capris, they done a 3.1 didn’t they
