Voss connectors

Don't know if this question has come up before but bear with,
I am planning to strip down and service the AMK compressor and air dryer on my 2006 D3. Various posts recommend replacing all the Voss connectors but they seem a bit pricey (£14.83 each from Advanced Factors). Do they really have to be binned each time you undo one ?
Thanks in advance.

No. Reuse the old ones if you want.

You could order 1 spare maybe to have on standby? if your ordering parts that is

Reuse. Clean clean clean!

They work fine as a pressure connection, but make sure all the components are clean.

I changed the air tank a couple of years ago. It came with a new Voss connector, but I just re-used the original one. No problems at all and I’ve done quite a few miles since

Before I touch them, I give them a good clean outside and dribble some silicone spray down the outside of the tube and into the connector. The reason they're not "reusable" is the serrations the collets cut into the pipe can damage the internal o-ring unless you're very careful when removing the pipe from the connector. If just disconnecting and re-connecting this is easily avoided and I find the silicone helps the connector rotate on the pipe without damaging the internal o-ring.
