Radio 5 live TV

Is it just me that finds this Ridiculous?

At work we have a big telly in our Canteen.
A lot of the time it’s tuned to the Radio 5 live channel with the sound turned up so everyone can hear it.
For those that haven’t seen it, it’s a stationary camera live streaming the Radio 5 live presenter sitting at a desk with headphones on talking into a mic.

I find it hilarious that we have people sitting in our canteen completely enthralled by this, staring at the screen during their breaks watching a Radio presenter talking into a Mic.

But, recently there has been a load of refurbishment and rebuilding going on at the Gym I use.
One of the things they’ve done is to install a huge Telly in the changing rooms.
I struggle with the need for this anyway, and find it hard not to be amused by the sight of men standing around in their pants, or actually completely naked, watching Telly as if that’s normal in a public place.

But, you’ve guessed it, the Telly in the changing room is tuned to Radio 5 live TV, and in a further step than we have at work the sound is turned off, so what the naked men are doing is reading the subtitled script underneath a Radio presenter being filmed sitting perfectly still talking into a Mic.

Ridiculous or what?
Heaven doesn't want me, and hell is afraid I'll take over.

Are you sure it’s not tuned to ITV or BBC?- SWMBO has it tuned into them regularly with the sound turned off and even that is better than the begging adverts on ITV 3. Terrestrial tv is total rubbish IMHO and is dying a slow death.
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Missus has discovered that repeats of a program she is following are on itv-x. Despite the somewhat clunky interface to find it she is quite happy as they don't have the begging ads. An additional bonus is the ad breaks are much shorter.
Win-win as far as she is concerned
A visitor from the dark side, my other vehicle is an is still an EV. Strictly speaking its SWMBO.
