Bless it!
In two days, our D4 will be seven years old. We bought it at just under two years old, and within a couple of weeks, whilst boarding a ferry for a four week trip abroad, the Adaptive Headlamp warning started flashing. My thoughts were “here we go, LR gremlins!” - after owning a D3 and D4 previously, so no stranger to the vehicles and their troubles.
Thankfully, after sending codes to the Dealer, we were told to enjoy the holiday as there was nothing likely to cause a problem. A new control unit for the lights fixed that on our return.
Since then, apart from a stretched bonnet cable we’ve had zip, zilch, nought (I wont say n*****g)! I was expecting something at this MOT and service, but one again given a clean bill of health. They’re so unreliable aren’t they?
As you can see, the car works for a living. This was on a recent photo shoot for Practical Caravan, so the car is likely to be on the cover within the next few months.
