RHS Inlet manifold suspect. P0006 error only & Restricted

So i’ve googled my way around this and I suspect i have a leaking inlet manifold causing Restricted Performance issues.

I’ll do a smoke test but on initial investigation it looks a bit ‘wet’ oily around that side. Would this be a symptom? Or does this suggests a turbo problem?

In my mind an inlet shouldn’t be misting oil out but then my engine knowledge is pre turbo / egr etc.

Put your hand over that oily looking bit on the right hand manifold and get someone to give the engine a rev. Over 3000rpm should do it. Can you feel air?

Does anyone know where to find genuine D4 inlet manfolds?
Both mine have gone and my local garage cannot source genuine parts. I am now phoning around and it seems like no one has them (apart from the guy on ebay asking a grand a side!!)

If I am forced to go with aftermarket, anyone know which are the best quality??

Thanks, yes SDV6.
Advanced Factors only listing aftermarket parts, so I think I'll give up on finding genuine.
Anyone know which aftermarket are the best, FEBI?

There seems to be a huge variety out there from £50 on ebay to £300+ each. Minefield....

I replaced both of mine in 2019, bought from LR Trade parts,they have been modified to strengthen the vulnerable areas.

I got a decent price from Duckworths on genuine ones - I didn’t want the risk of aftermarket after trying the genuine oil filler onto an aftermarket one and realising there was around 3mm of movement if you wobbled it, there was no way I was going to do the job twice!
If you speak to Robin in the spares dept he normally gives a decent discount if you mention the forum!

Those ones from LR trade parts, how do you know they have been modified and won’t split again? Yes it says it in the listing but otherwise I don’t see any evidence of anything in the pictures.

Also these are likely allmakes4x4 and can be had from Advanced factors rather than eBay.

They are made from thicker material but I can’t say they won’t crack like the original.
Ask AF if they can provide any evidence of modifications.Mine are doing ok after four years but that’s hardly proof.
I can understand why garages choose oem because they have to answer to their customers if anything goes wrong.

Also the Jaguar part number is different than LandRovers part number for the same item Must stop buying shiny toys....
