What’s the best for TV reception.

I’ve used satellite tv for the last few years in the ‘van but on the last trip Sky seems to have died or my receiver has as I can only get 7 or 8 channels and 5 of them are rubbish leaving ITV and ITV3.
What are the recommendations on terrestrial booster aerials or mobile router for hotspots in UK?
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Unlimited sim, router + firestick. Or unlimited data plan and “rats tail” HDMI adaptor straight from phone. Thumbs Up

Advantage of the latter is you can steam from behind a VPN and the streaming service thinks you’re still in the UK. Done that across the globe. Thumbs Up

Depending on your usage it could be worth considering Starlink as they now do mobile package specially designed for mobile homes and outdoor users... not cheap but I recently switched to them from my data sim router for my home broadband and have gone from 65Mbs to 292Mbs (as measured this afternoon!).

If you want to work from your caravan then worth a look Thumbs Up

Thanks for your replies.
DSL; I have two Firesticks and have used one through my phone set as a hotspot but the reception was slow, I am usually out in the countryside rather than in a town, this was the advantage of Sky if you could see the sun at 11-00am UK time you could get a signal almost anywhere in Europe. Do all routers that take a SIM card run on 240v?- is it possible to fit an outside aerial to them as the metal caravan maybe reducing the signal?

Take it you have a status aerial on van?, to be honest I've binned all my satellite gear in the van now and just use terrestrial DTV, don't seem to have a problem and have travelled all over the UK. DTV signal seems to have improved significantly in the last few years.

If you’ve lost channels it’s two things….

1) Dish need’s realignment
2) New LNB.

If your looking for a 100% way to get internet use Starlink.

Why wait, just go for it and enjoy life.

For satellite I have a roof mounted retractable Ariel and I get all the channels as is numbers but 95% of them are blank, just a number and I've never had a problem before.
What make/type of Ariel have you got/recommend?

Still can hear the Signals Company Sergeant Major's booming voice in my ear from decades ago...

Terrestrial TV uses an aerial. Satellite TV uses a satellite dish. Which one is it your having an issue with ?

Del. Just picked up this thread. We’re off away in the tin tent next week, Cornwall. We were planning on watching a bit of downloaded stuff on the tv in the caravan. I have one of those HDMI adaptors for my IPhone, and tried it out last night with Now Tv and got a message saying they no longer support streaming via hdmi. (Or words to that effect) Iplayer and Netflix work ok, but not Now Tv. I wonder if they all are going this way?
