Anyone got a spare wheel stud and nut knocking around for an 06 D3?
Long story short, Father passed away on Tuesday night. Been busy sorting things at parents home.
Got home and couldn’t sit down. Went and tinckered to take my mind off things.
Snapped the stud tightening up the wheel nut. It then rolled and found the only hole it could fit through.
Nobody has anylocally, and spares places are all saying I need to buy a new hub!
Any assistance appreciated. MY07 Freelander2 SE Santorini Black - Gone

I'm away from base until late tonight but have a front hub there that I have been meaning to knock the studs out of.
The earliest that I might be able to get a stud in the post to you would be tomorrow lunchtime.
Wheel nuts available on eBay from John Craddock for £3.90 inc. post.
If I can get a stud out, (biggest problem is finding the hub), I"ll pm you for your address.
Sorry to hear about your father's death.
If anyone else has a stud I am not going to be put out if they can help out quicker or with more certainty.

As Ron says very sorry to hear of your loss, went through the same in March.
I have a number of wheel nuts knocking around so pm me your address and I'll get a couple over to you but they won't be there for the weekend, so if anyone closer can drop some off that would be ideal ! I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

There is good news and not so good news.
The good news is that I have a stud and a jiffy bag ready to go if you PM me your address. The last post here goes at 12 although the local sorting office may take it later.
The not so good news is that although I freed the studs from the hub, using a club hammer and a discarded locking wheelnut, to protect the threads, the head of the studs could not be withdrawn past the plate which attaches the hub to the vehicle. In part this is due to rust accretions on the plate and hub, (Edit stud not hub), but I suspect that even with new parts there may not be enough clearance. There are 2 possible solutions. Either file a small amount of material off the plate or off of one side of the head of the stud. Only a small amount, (1-2mm?), seems necessary. I ground off part of the plate rather than a rotating part but this is not likely to be practical on the vehicle.
I have run some wet and dry over the stud that I will send you.
Edit Your PM received.
