Quick question, on an SE spec, if the steering wheel does not have the phone buttons does this mean that telephone bluetooth is not installed Question I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

It means that PTI is not installed ...this is an optional extra. Wink 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Sorry Hobgoblin ...it's Personal Telephone Integration ...the system is a factory option ...there is a dealer fit option but it's not quite the same. Thanks DG, it has got the button by the radio, comes up with no phone fitted, and the mobile can't find the device so I am presuming it doesn't have the facility Sad I'm not as good as I once was........but I'm as good once as I ever was.

The SE never came with the PTI as standard ..although it was a factory fit option.

The stereo has a button for the phone ..this is standard on the radio ( well 6 disc one anyway)

It doesent even work if you fit the LR after market phone kit. G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Sounds like you don't. When you press the phone button the head unit will display 'Bluetooth'

Also you would have a cradle connector in the centre glove box (if MY08 and older) along with the fin on the roof.

Its not standard fit I'm afraid.

Unless of course the dealer spec had it as fitted then you should be able to have them put it in.

Other ways to tell if the system is fitted are a cradle in the lid of the centre cubby....and a sharks fin aerial on the roof near the tailgate. Wink 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

The D3 I bought has a Nokia Bluetooth fitted which works well. Maybe that could be a cheaper option Idea
