Car seems gutless

The last few days My D4 has seemed gutless is the only way to describe it, Especially when cold, I know it’s a big diesel engine car and there’s nothing like a warmed up motor especially diesel but it’s really sluggish and not so quick to respond even after around half hour of driving, Also today swmbo came back and about half a mile from said the car was struggling to respond to acceleration, Just got home and parked it up, She had the coolant level low come on today but that was the only thing to come on dash , Wouldn’t think this would be relevant but just mentioned it as that was all that was different, No restricted performance or anything so a bit baffled, It’s in for linkage grease up and front disks and pads tomorrow so I’ve mentioned it to the indi , He’ll plug it in tomorrow but any suggestions ahead would be grateful

Sounds like EGR valve sticking… the car seems gutless until you push accelator down and then it will kick down and spew a load of black soot out of the exhausts? But no low down power…?

Thanks Farmer Chalk , Will get it checked, Would this show up on faults on the IID tool ? Does seem slightly better when warm but not as it should be from other D4s I’ve driven
