Repurposing EAS Compressor
Hi Gang
I’ve suffered a fairly catastrophic leak to my front nearside air strut which has turned me back to the air vs coil debate.
Leaning towards coils at this point owing to the pay-once thought of never having to deal with leaks ever again, but it’s got me thinking what I could do with the compressor (relatively new, fitted by the previous owner).
Wondering if anyone here knows if/how you might go about rewiring and repurposing the Hitachi compressor to a high pressure union in the engine bay or boot that would allow a hose attachment for re-inflating the tires after a sandy day out, or SUP boards and and the like.
Is it even possible? Has it been done before?
Thoughts on a postcard.

You could bypass the valve blocks and run straight to the air tank then fit a manifold with pressure switch and either tap the front plug for a fitting or run a line off the manifold.
I fitted another compressor in the left rear and a 2nd air tank under the drivers sdie, manifold with pressure switch and air fitting in the rear bar.
