Change oil filter without draining oil?

Hello,

Is it possible to change to oil filter without draining any oil?

I’m concerned I diddnt fit it correctly during a service (oil pressure light is on for 2-3 seconds) so I need to replace and refit. I assumed I’d need to drain a bit of oil, but saw the LR time video on the D4 and it looks like he inspects the filter with oil in situ post rebuild.

Thanks.

Yes you can just change the filter.

You may have crushed it. Some are re enforced throughly the middle. Eg Mann

Oil in the bottom, filter in the top = no drain required.
