[For Sale] Disco 3 SE Manual 2007 £4000
Well having just placed a deposit on a 2016 D4 Commercial (my new "works van") I have no need of two Discos so my much loved D3 is up for sale.
Bought by me down in London in December 2021 having looked all over the UK and brought back up north to see me through the worst of Scottish winters without fail. She has been looked after by our very own DM and had a new cambelt (for piece of mind) and full service in December 22. Being an SE it does not have a sunroof so no leaks to worry about but does have a heated windscreen and full leather heated memory front seats with armrests.
She has covered 147,000 miles and is in very good condition for the age and mileage, very clean underneath with none of the usual rust or salt damage (one thing I was very careful about). Also has a two screen dvd system in the rear that folds down from the ceiling (never sat in the back so don't know if these work but there are headphones and remotes to go with all this so probably does)
So work done during my ownership:
New rear propshaft in Jan 2022
Both rear upper arms
Brake pipe repair (still shown as advisory but was done by DM)
Steering arms on both sides
Diff seal and breather
Transfer box oil
4 wheel alignment
Big brake upgrade with green stuff pads all round, rear calipers are refurbished Brembos (all done last summer)
Two new front airbags and shocks due to a leak
New front offside wheel bearing
Genuine LR RAI fitted
Front sump guard by RLD
Full service and cambelt change in December 22 including anti freeze (uprated to -30 as it gets cold here!) previous cambelt change in 2017
New horn (only thing I didn't check for the MOT )
MOT valid until 11th Feb 2024
D4 black rear LED lights fitted (with resistors from Maltings)
Heated D4 steering wheel with proper boards all works perfectly and is toastie warm !
13 pin electrics for towing.
Full size GG spare with matching alloy.
Xenon headlights fitted with Nightbreaker bulbs (new in the last month)
New Bosch Aero twin wipers on the front and a new rear wiper as well.
D4 indicator stalks
PFUK LED DRLs and Foglights... looks very cool and modernises the front end
Window seals replaced all round
Rear brake pipes just done
Front ARB bushes sorted (April 23)
Full set (front, rear and boot) of genuine rubber mats
Folder of receipts and service history over an inch thick going back 7 years (think the car was treated as a princess by the previous owner!).
Comes with a spare set of 18 inch wheels (5 off) and winter tyres (won't fit the D4 ) if you want them, a set of rock sliders fitted in place of the steps that were on when I bought her (completely rubbed down, Kurust'd, wax oiled and then red primered and repainted under these) photos to show.
Now sits on 19 inch wheels with good all season rubber all round and the 18s also included. Wheels could do with a refurb but she's not a show car so not too worried about that.
Bad bits (it's a Disco there will always be something to do)....
Drivers seat has a tear in the side and the heating element gets hotter in one place, I will include an RRS front drivers seat to replace the current seat (also heated and electric and much more comfortable).
Parking sensors beeping, have replaced one (as per IID) but still beeping..
Glowplugs will need replacing at some point but have managed to get through this year in temps as low as -13 and FBH remote would solve this.
Will add some pictures tomorrow if the weather improves but here are some taken earlier in the year. The towbar and rear ladder will be coming off and going onto the new car (sorry). Happy to collect you from Aberdeen airport or Huntly train station (i do live a long way from anywhere and this is my only car so she has to be right!). Asking £4000.
