LED bulbs for number plate
Hello all
One of the LED bulbs in my number plate light is flickering, so I’ll replace. I’ve searched online for the LED W5W bulb and sites such as Halfords and Eurocarparts are saying that the Osram and Bosch bulbs are for internal use or off road use only! Where do you get the ‘legal’ ones from? Thanks, Peter.
Virtually all LED bulb replacements are sold as non road legal/interior use only as they are not type approved with lamps that use a traditional filament bulb.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Can't see the logic in making the car's number plate even easier to read!Visitor - Freelander owner

If it not eliminated or a bulb is not working continuously it’s illegal and an MOT failure even if you have two bulbs and one is faulty, main stealer wanted £60 to change mine and then said they could not do it as it was fitted with a none standard (led) bulb.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I would fit the standard (non LED) bulbs. I can’t remember the last time I had to change one on any of my cars. 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE
