199,010 miles ever closer to 200,000 |
|
90 miles short of the big 200,000.
Just had the following done on my 2005 (54 reg) SE 2.7tdv6 here in Poland and I love the car now even more and hope it will keep going for another 100,000.
Replaced all front and rear suspension arms and linkages, turbo, new belts, catalytic converter, new discs and pads front and back plus new caliper pistons, 4 new Pirelli Scorpion tyres.
The car was loaded with boxes of parts that I was able to purchase here and some from UK.
Local LR. dealer carried out a full inspection in January 2023 and gave me an estimated bill of about £6500.00 just for the parts.
I have managed to purchase all the parts and after labour costs have come to half of that and now the car handles and drives like new, for the first time in a long time I felt relaxed driving it today.
God knows for how long I've been wrestling with the car on the road in the previous state but changing all the suspension parts has made a world of difference.
This car has never let me down in the 12 years I have owned the car and I thought it was only fair to keep it going, when this car is in for long repairs we miss the convenience of the space and practicality, twice we have had to resort to using my E200 mercedes saloon for a holiday with a family of 5 plus dog, NOT COMFORTABLE.
Now to give it some more love with replacing the rear parking sensor loom that keeps going and also replacing the front drivers seat heater element, really missed those for too long.
Plus a good valet and detail.
Certainly getting my monies worth out of this trusted Disco3

Way to go thats an impressive mileage ,nice to see giving it some long overdue love lol ,
How much did the heated seat pad cost you ? did you buy it in Poland or UK ? I need to replace my drivers side one maybe the base and back as neither work , the wife keeps laughing as the passenger side work perfect , I keep threatening to swap them lol.

Hi Phil
I managed to find one on eBay.co.uk but from Lithuania hence I could get it delivered to me here in Poland without a problem.
I have attached the following link.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ipp/283915370428?tr...675.l48352
Gone over to 200,100 now and driving like a new Disco 3, solid and with renewed power.

Congrats
Although in Europe we do not celebrate 321868,8 kilometers as a milestone
