Saw these advertised in this month LROI magazine.
I'd like a set, but they cost £78.75 (inc. VAT & postage).
Thought that perhaps a "Group Buy" might get the price down to a more acceptable figure.
Anyone else interested?

I have the full Land Rover rubber mat set & they are fine.
But, the drivers side mat is wearing out where my heel rests & they have no raised lip. Therefore, all the tiny bits of debris get scattered around the edges of the mats. No big deal, but I can't be ars*d to clean my carpets very often. Plus, I do sometimes have to drive with really muddy wellies on.
As mine are wearing out & I doubt that you can just buy the drivers side front mat, I thought that this heavy duty option looked ideal.
They're not cheap though, but if the price was say £50 (inc.) I'd be keen.

Fair enough, this time of year especially my LR rubber mats get coverered in horse  and mud, so I'm in the habit of taking them out and running the Karscher over them every week. Of course it would be nice to let them dry in the sun too, but given that we only get two weeks of summer in this country I'll just have to go on hoping.

I have to say I've never had an issue with the LR ones and I drive in wellies and walking boots (not at the same time) a lot and I've never had a problem. Great idea that that the car has black carpets, the Fl2 has alpacca carpets = bloody nightmare! DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

Tried something similar in my old D2 (with beige carpet  ). Didn't seem to work, and always caught my foot on the lip of them. Small bits of gravel also used to slide around in the corners which was annoying.
I drive in wellies in mine too - don't seem to have too much of a problem... 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

Like I said, the LR mats are fine & I don't have an issue with them.
It's just that soon I'm going to wear a hole in the drivers mat (after 45k miles). So I thought these heavy duty mats could be a good solution & that the higher outer lip might contain more of the small debris that seems to quickly mess up the carpet area around the mats.
They do seem rather expensive though & if others have tried similar ones & didn't rate them, then I'll not bother.

Had these trays in my first TDi 300 back in 1994. They keep the carpet clean but at the expense of feet slipping in the trays, especially when shoes are muddy and doubly especially as the car was a manual and much shuffling of feet was required. Maybe they are better designed these days. No longer a D3 owner but still subscribed to multiple threads!
