VIDEO D3 Engine sound! please yours opinions about!!
I think I have an obvious problem, it seems to come from the injection pump, perhaps a belt or a tensioner... more than 200,000 km ago without any maintenance on that particular component, if distribution changes have been made with the FoMoCo pump 2 times, the last time almost 50,000 and 3 years ago, the auxiliary belts have also undergone regular maintenance, but not the pump, only a new pump was put in, and its belt and tensioner only once under warranty per LR campaign with less than 120,000 Back under warranty and many many moons ago. and I forgot, it only sounds like a hot engine!…..opinions, please, would be most appreciated. …Or that "sawing sound” is normal to you? …Or maybe my inseparable friend is actually dying?? 🥹
Greetings to all!!

Sounds like mine! I have wondered if it's the DMF. I changed my clutch and DMF last year, and I think it's louder with the new one.Richard

i would leave it my sdv6 sounds similar and sounded like that for years now runs like train
