EGR cleaning
Hi All, I guess I will be met with well wishing advice to get rid of EGR's and blank off but I did change them a little while ago and all is well again.
My question though is can I effectivly clean up the old ones? I have an ultrasonic cleaner and I'm using that at the moment. It's removing lots of crap and with the occassional squirt of WD 40 they seem to be cleaning well. Can I activate the valve to make sure its working by connecting to battery and if so which terminals would I use.? Many thanksBelts, oil pump casing and water pump by Flack

Maybe connect to the car and turn the ignition on and off.
Should move it in and out and shake it all about

Hi,
have you split the casings, as I have just replaced my r/h egr and on stripping it I found water between the casting mechanical side and the actuator motor side,
the metal parts all moved nicely with the rollers and cam arm opening the cap,
sadly when I removed the motor end cap it did not look healthy
