About to take delivery of a Disco 3 SE. What are the thoughts on getting the underneath rust proofed?

I wouldn't bother Bill.
Rustproofing goes everywhere you can see,but nowhere that matters.
The Factory finish is fairly good....inside doors are OE sprayed on mine.
Any scrapes that happen ,will also remove the sealing.
Spend your dosh on goodies instead........like steering wheel audio buttons...and front mud flaps.

If you are woried about rust you can do the job yourself for a fraction of the cost 
Stinkey fish oil can be had at the hardware store, just spray it where nessasery, The down side of this is your car smells like the bilge of a prawn trawler for about a week  but leaving it in the sun helps. Also geting the smell of ones self is a challange but it works well
