Last pics from the Nullarbor. This is as far W as we are going on this continent, just short of the WA border but close enough for our tech to pick up a WA phone signal and cause time chaos. We now think SA’s 30 minutes time zone is the way to go, it’s just the rest of the planet that is wrong!
Fantastic cliffs, well the ones we can get to in Harvey.

And most westerly pano of this part of the jolly.

They still promise the wildlife spotting experience, needless to say we saw nothing much apart from crows and a couple of raptors.

And looks like the docs have their own airport, would be interesting if one flew in as we were bimbling down the road runway!

Good job they’ve got a zebra crossing to allow the patients to get across the road!

And final pic from here, honest, and for completeness, proof we’ve gone from one side of the Nullarbor to t’other.

We head back to Ceduna tomorrow, lots of long straight roads letting mahoosive Road Trains admire the back of Harvey until they can blast past.

Not yet, but I’m sure he’s driving around in a 4 trailer mine truck road train. No-one is going to mess with him in one of those.

Is it just me but when I looked at those photos of the sea I thought you must be on the wrong coast as the sea should be on the left ?
Coober Pedy, now that's in the middle of nowhere! Have you stood on the hill and watched a vehicle drive off into the distance?... takes absolutely ages... just watch the dust plumes I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!

Here ya go with some pics.
Spent a day in Port Augusta before heading up the Stewart Highway to CP. It was nice and hot again, ~30c and booooootuful blue sky.
Did a nice walk around the Arid Botanic Garden Centre. Fantastic view of the Flinders Range.

We haven’t seen many snake warning lately but plenty of signs of them!

And great seeing 4 Roos plus a joey in the pouch. Two of them are in here, somewhere.

Bit of a long drive up the Stewart Highway to CP, bit of a slog as Harvey was battling a mega head wind. Fair few salt lakes on the way up.

And a few pics from the Rocket Park at Woomera.

Typical view from today, 550kms of outback.
When in CP you’ve got to do a cave hotel. Not much of a view out the windows but lovely and cool, temp was up to 32c.
View from a hill in the middle of CP. There’s a hotel and a museum behind the junk yard, not that you’d know it.
Blower at the top of the hill, bit of a misnomer as it’s basically a giant hoover, as will be familiar to all fans of Outback Opal Hunters.
And to finish with, a gratuitous pano. Well would be rude not to as fantastic view.

Off tomorrow on a mail tin trip out to Oonadatta and round the bondu, should have some good pics of more of the Outback tomorrow.

Just looked it up on Google Earth. You’re only halfway across the bottom! (Or is it the top 🤔)

I’m sure I’d be involved in those plans, even if it’s to carry all the Lois Vutton bags.

About half way from E to W but plenty of Aus further N. We’re not heading up any more, back to PA on Saturday.
This is as far N as we’re going in Aus, we’ll reserve the full Stewart Highway run from Darwin down to Port Augusta for next Aussie trip.
ps deffo the bottom of Aus rather than the top. It’s taken us long enough to get used to the sun being in the N so not going to start getting things upside down. And that’s compounded by SA’s half hour time zone malarkey! We asked someone on last trip why SA has that and the answer was “coz they can!”.

Ray, you’d love it here. Your “caravan” and 130 would fit right in as well.
