Key fob activated "all close" feature ?
Hello all,
My P38 Range-Rover had an interesting feature that seems to be missing in my Disco3 !
The windows and the sunroof are closed when I press and hold few seconds the lock button...

My C8 would OPEN all the bl**dy windows if you caught the remote wrong - some stupid AIRING function - you then had to go and manually (on the 4 switches) close them all again individually Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
My A4 Avant will open or close everything by holding down the appropriate button. The open bit is a great feature if you are walking towards a car that has been parked in sunshine for a few hours. 8)The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

my mrecedes would open the boot as well as closing the windows and folding the mirrors

The wifes old Focus ST had an 'all open' - 'all close' feature for the windows from the key fob 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Is that theoretically spealing or from experience??? Didn't think the sun came out much your side of the Grampians!!!

I've got four buttons if I touch them in quick succession the windows open if I touch them again they close.
Just remember the D3 does plenty of other things that the normal boring cars cant do

if land rover made some thing as technical as remote windows it would only foul up when you needed it .

My Mini does that too - annoying! On my previous one the sunroof would open up as well At least you don't have to open it up, put the key in and knock the windows up (and sunroof forward) again, holding the key in the door lock and holding it to "lock" will roll them up again... 8)06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

The ability to shut windows by holding the lock button was great for those moments when you were walking away from your car and realised you'd left one open on my old BMW. But the Discovery has a windscreen that clears ice without the need for scraping or de-icer. You win some you lose some. I know which feature is more useful with the present weather conditions!! You are quite right Ken.ALTERNATIVES...............No alternatives for off-road capability.
If you want Surrey plush, go for a Range Rover. If you want Manchester bling it's the Range Rover Sport. But if it's a seven-seat, go anywhere 4x4, it's time to Disco.
