Will an early D3 become a classic in the future? |
|
Just seen a post on FB saying that used D4 prices seem to be down yet early non DPF, lower tax, D3’s are holding well. Obviously in good condition with good history and maintenance. So my question, as an owner of a well maintained early D3, what is the general consensus on them becoming a classic in a similar vein to a Defender. Look forward to comments 👍

Depreciation reaches a point when there is not much more to lose on the value... an early D4 will have been depreciating for less time then an early D3 and so will have more value to lose hence prices still dropping, D3's are about as low as they can go and finding a mint low mileage fully maintained car is much harder hence good residual values for a specific car.. lots of Early D4's around still
Also the "low tax" part may be a clue I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
