12N Socket
Mine is a 2005 D3
Vehicle tail lights are fine but I have a problem with a trailer board.
The RHS Trailer board tailight is not working. I have tried 3 trailer boards all the same then I tried the board on a different vehicle and it was fine.
It looked like the 12N socket on the D3
Pin 5 is RHS Light and Pin 7 is LHS tailight.
I put a meter between earth and the pins.
12.5V on the LHS but only 10V on the RHS.
I cleaned the pins but no success.
So I thought "bad/corroded" connection inside the 12N Socket so I decided to take it off to have a look and here my problems started.
3 screws came out ok but the socket will only move a fraction its as if the cables behind it are too short to let it come all tghe way out.
Has anybody a "fix" or know how the wiring runs?
What's behind the 12N socket that is stopping it moving forward.
I don't want to start a major dismantle of the bumper if there is an easier fix.
Quick fix is to join the RHS tailight and RHS tailight wiring on the board but that does not get round the problem if I want to tow another vehicle.
Thoughts?

Inside the boot, in the left side hatch are some fuses.
Check the 5A orange ones.
