Clearable Codes

Hi all

Attached is a screen shot of some codes that always come up

I’m guessing they are ignorable and have seen similar threads

I’m wondering can the codes be removed completely? Like am I pull a fuse here and there so the code doesn’t flag up?

Ideally would like to just see a code free screen when I open my GAP

TIA

yes! no problem!

pull all the main fuses and none of them will pop up..

it does not drive either, but maybe that is secondary Laughing

you can not re-programm the car system to not show certain signals, you specifficaly do not want to see..
it shows everthing that is/was there, both minor and major.. because it is designed to do so...
 Best regards
Harold

Or you could fix the issues, clear the codes and then they won't come back? Or just accept it is a Discovery and it likes to send you spurious error messages just because it can Laughing

With that logic, you could remove all your tyres so you never get punctures.

Ok thanks I’ll start from the top one by one

I’ll be honest the parking aid took me 2 years eventually realised it was wiser to pull the parking aid fuse and hey presto no more codes

Happy to brush a few minor codes under the carpet now the car is running as it should (for now)

Thanks again as always for the advice

A 2005 doesn't have an electric steering column or pedal adjustment so they can be ignored.

These discos love to produce errors codes when it left the factory!

Hi no I haven’t changed the steering column I don’t even know what it means if I’m honest presume it’s the bar that links from steering to wheels. And no I haven’t changed any CCF files yet however I’d like to know if there are any cool changes I can make

And thanks Pete if there is no column sensor on an 05 then do they all have a code or do people get fed up of seeing it and blank a wire or something haha

Don’t mind cutting a few corners on obsolete codes etc

beware... potential disaster hazzard.....

editing config maps in combination with a "cutting corners attitude" is often not the best combination... Cool
