Mounting hf codan antenna - in the uk
Ok boys and girls. I’m finally getting round to installing hf radio capability on my d3. The install isn’t a problem however, finding somewhere to mount the antenna is.
Now I have a prospeed roof rack on so I could weld a mount to that. Good for rf radiation bad for height 4m+ And overhanging trees…
I could make a mount (like our down under brethren) and mount it on the front above bumper. Good as not so much height, reduced rf radiation pattern but unsure of legalities. Local mot man said it’s fine as long as no sharp edges. Ideas?D3 work in progress
