I cannot remove the 14mm hex plug/bung. There is no way of getting enough leverage through the drivers side wheel arch with a 14mm allen key. So i made an attempt going from underneath the car with an 18" long socket wrench and 14mm hex key. I thought i was making progress when i used my legs to try and turn the damn thing, but it turns out it was just my cheap ass 3/8" to 1/2" socket adapter was bending/twisting rather than the hex plug.
I have tried penetrating WD40. still no luck. This thing does come out by turning counter-clockwise right? Any tips on how to get this hex plug to budge? Access is really limited.
Best,
Michael

Hello,
Yes, it twists off anti clockwise.
My local garage luckily had an auto box on the floor before I attempted mine, I used there's as a dry run.
If you're local (to leeds), I bought a 14mm socket you can use.
All the best

Ok great... at least I am turning the right way
I have 14mm socket... I went from underneath
I pushed with my leg, but my 3/8" (F) to 1/2" (M) just bent trying to undo the thing. Its proper stuck on.
Will see if I can pickup a better adapter at halfords tommorow.
