Hi, I have a 2007 diesel Disco 3 which I've noticed is becoming a bit sluggish after the years. I have it regularly serviced so know all is OK. I'm thinking of having my dear friend remapped to give it some more bhp and torque. I live in the Peterborough area and was wondering if anyone out there could recommend a company to carry out the work.
Thanks

What mileage & service history?
Has it had the oil pump replaced?

I had mine done by Bodsy, a well known forum member, and can highly recommend his work. Search his user name for more info.

These were the items and costs charged at the time to give you an idea. However, obviously things have changed since then so use as a guide as it's likely that he'd need to charge more considering the changes to fuel/living costs since then....
- Gearbox oil flush and replace £285
- Diff & Transfer Oils £160
- Compressor Software Update £20
- BAS Re-Map £385
I had this all done in summer of 2021 FYI.
You can find him on here btw...send him a private message.

Far out, at those prices I could just about buy him a return business class ticket to Australia, have him come and do the work and still wind up in front!

Sadly, in Britain, those prices will just about cover a loaf of bread and a pint of milk

Or… you can give Martin Lewis a call
I have used several remaps of him on different company diesel cars from us/me
Now i have a 240hp mapping in my 2005 D3 (for 40.000 kms now..)
Very very happy with it (again) it IS quick! And better mileage too
Although his website is aiding on vans, he knows his stuff regarding LR diesels..
You just have to contact him about them …
I paid less than the half of the amounts mentioned here regarding mappings

Edit:
As since Brexit sending an ECU with postal services “has his drawbacks” and risks, i bought a KESS (clone)
After consulting Martin,
It does read out my standard mapping, (with all the addaptions it had) Send that to Martin by email and within 24h you will have a tuned mapping based on your engine in your email back (after payment) load it up with the KESS, and drive!
Egr, etc. CAN be removed, as max speed limtit, etc. Etc. Just ask.. Best regards
Harold

it was answered in my reaction just above your question...
AND i am sure if fuel consumption is your main goal, he can tweak the mapping accordingly, he did that once for a van of ours.... TBH it still has a lot to do with your right foot.. even after remapping...
in my experience a good remap has the "weak" spots (environmental measuring points) removed, with also a gain in power, TOGETHER with a soft gaspedal. Will give you better fuel consumption..
Best regards
Harold

Unless you drive like Miss Daisy no remap will save you fuel.
