It wont start

Bought an 06 d3 auto with timing chain snapped , got it all reoaired , car started/ ran fine then while doing another small job i switched it off for a bit then it refused to start again , codes say low fuel rail pressure, theres no fuel at the schrader valve on top of the engine , cars been sat for 2 years so what to check for ??
Got plenty of fuel
Should the intank pump prime ?
Any suggestions welcome

Fuel filter.
If it's been sat with diesel in the tank, it's possibly picked up all the black slime that grows in stationary diesel. You might have to flush the system, and possibly clean the tank.

If you have gap lld try a fuel pump reset and if that doesnt work try a new relay.

I'd go with rrhool's suggestion first. Seems the most logical ( and cheapest ) thing to try.
When you ran it , it would have stirred up the crud growing in the tank, which will now have settled in the filter.
If you're not getting the tank flushed, be prepared to have to do this again quite soon.

Ps. Get a genuine LR filter, or you'll be fighting other issues!

If you’ve got no fuel at the shrader valve you will not have any fuel at the HPFP! It is possible for the engine to run without the low pressure pump in certain circumstances, the high pressure pump sucks the fuel from the tank, have you got an old type filter fitted and the pipes are the wrong way round?-you should be able to hear the LP pump running for about 2 minutes when the engine is switched on. Thumbs Up
