Oh great and glorious font of all knowledge D4 wise...
i.e. this group....Advice needed.......
Is there a battery in the TPMS sender in the wheel ?
If so is it replaceable or new unit required ?
When I got new tyres at 22000 miles, my local tyre fitter changed the tyres without removing the valves.
TPMS all still working perfectly approaching 39000 miles.
Will soon need to replace tyres again, although 4mm of tread left, you can "feel" they are going off.
Had this last time and suspected suspension problem, but put on new tyres and handling was back to sticking to the road like sh*t to a blanket.
If I do the same again, is the TPMS system likely to stop working ??

TPMS sensor batteries are integral and non-removable from the sensor, they are supposed to have a life of ~12 years so you should be OK.
The biggest cause of problems with them is being damaged by tyre monkeys or stem corrosion causing leaks, you can get replacement stems & seals quite cheaply.
If your tyre fitter or independent has a TPMS reader, they should be able to give you the battery status (good/low/bad, no actual measurement), you'll get a dash message when one or more is getting to the 'bad' stage.

There are two types of stem and seals, from experience I always carry a spare as they can be difficult to obtain It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

I got mine off Ebay, the two types are easily recognisable, early type that only give a warning are hexagonal. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
