What to service when buying a D4?

Hi all

I've made the plunge and picked up 2013 (63) D4. It had good service history for the first 4 years then missed a couple. Had a clean MOT before I picked it up. The last service in Nov 21 it got discs/pads/filters changed.

I want to do some precautionary maintenance; something that concerned me is that it had a timing belt kit fitted with its service in 2020, but it only cost £330 fitted. (£160 for the kit and £170 to fit). This seems cheap to me.

I'm after some advice on the best things to ask my local specialist to do.

I'm thinking engine oil change, diff and transfer box oil change and anything else that the specialist finds. Would it be worth changing the belts again just to be on the safe side and is there anything else obvious I should be getting done?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure that I give it the best start.

Thanks in advance!

Timing belt can be done without removing body.
Purchased similar year to yours. I had the transmission fluid and axle fluid changed, brake fluid changed and new wipers all round. The oil and coolant had already been done when I picked it up but will be booking in to get the oil changed again - what oil do people recommend here?
I had the brakes upgraded and braided brake lines added as the brakes were shocking.

We had a customer in with a 2011 D4 recently, with a stamp in the book stating timing belts had been replaced

Stamp looked a bit "iffy" so the new owner wanted them redone for peace of mind

Belts were the originals, and 4 years overdue Confused

I've been told in the past that there is a (un)healthy trade in stamps from garages that have gone bust.

Shocked Shocked

My Italian special with an extra 100k+ (at least) had one of the dodgiest service books I’ve seen. Someone in Italy had just invented stamps of various companies. Like a supermarket, a gardening store, etc. etc. Whistle Thumbs Up
