Lower air strut bushes

I've got an issue with the long bolt that goes through the lower front arms and the bottom of the air strut.

On one side the bolt is rusted in tight and won't budge so looks like it needs cutting, not a problem but obviously I will probably wreck the bush getting the bolt out of it.

Has anyone just changed the bush rather than swap the entire strut? I can find ROA000022 which is front strut lower bush but it is listed as coil sprung models only. Surely I havent got to spend ~£300 on a new strut just because of a rusted bush?

cheers

Are you sure you can't get it out? Plenty of room to whack the crap out of it. Lots of WD40. Impact wrench on the bolt side.

Yes I can do those things but twisting the bush like that with the rattle gun will destroy it, so I will still need a new bush.

I can tell by the feel of the bolt turning that the bush is goosed already to be honest. I swung the sledge hammer at it for 10mins and didn't budge so didn't want to push it any further without having a plan incase I destroyed the bush. I have 1500 miles to do next week so can't afford to wreck it.

Fair enough.

I've not pressed an OEM bush into one before. I know there are polybush sets out there but not heard great things about them on the D3.

Not ONLY that but also they sometimes make the arms break. There have been horror pictures both in this forum and on FB groups. Mr. Green
