Hi guys, My Disco4 is overheating, I've managed to narrow it down to the following:
Urban driving, no Aircon - Normal temp, no issues
Urban driving with Aircon on - Normal temp, no issues
Motorway driving no Aircon - Normal temp, no issues
Motorway driving with Aircon on - The engine gets hotter than usual, forces out the coolant from the top of the expansion tank then a low coolant warning comes on.
I've had the system flushed recently, replaced the coolant, and replaced the thermostat and hoses.
When I had the system flushed the mechanic checked and insisted there's no air trapped. The pump is working ok, the system has been pressure tested, and I've had the head gasket test done (all passed ok). Anything I've missed? Does the aircon compressor have a separate fan or anything?
Many Thanks.

Have you checked the viscous fan is working?
I think it is a standard viscous that the engine ecu can trigger on top of the temperature sensitive hub.
