4 wheel drive Info screen on Sat Nav Colour screen? |
|
I have a 2005 SE and don't seem to be able to get the information page (that shows wheel articulation, suspension settings, diff settings etc.) to appear on the colour Sat Nav screen.
I've read the handbook and on my system there doesen't appear to be a option to display it e.g. when I am on the "home page" I am only presented with a choice of Navigation or Settings.
Do I have the wrong software version?

afraid not Simon, 4x4 info was (is?) only standard equipment on the HSE, so you'll only have it if it was added as an option when bought new on an SE,
M and theeeeennn......???

no idea! comes as part of the enhanced Satnav pack with the TMC, for which LR will relieve you of ~ £500 at build time, so probably with the correct addittional parts but I can't imagine it'll be cheap... or if anyone has done it, I know a couple have done the TMC bit though if you search on here. and theeeeennn......???

By talking to Land Rover Netherlands (LRN) for an other issue (http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic16297.html?highlight= ). They seem to be confident that there is a possibility of upgrading to premium navigation with TMC and 4x4 info. So LRN seems to think it is possible in some cases, but there is a chance it will not work on all cars (scary part!! )!? _____________

Yes, you'd have thought they would know whether it was going to work before they started!

I test drove a D3 yesterday and decided to buy it, will hopefully have it delivered in a few days.
This was a 2005 HSE.
I didn't examine the GPS system too much on the little testrun I had, but I could swear it did not have the 4x4 info.
At least it did not come up as an option on the main menu.
So is it a known fact that the 4x4 info is standard on the HSE?
Maybe it wasn't back in 2005?
The car is imported from Belgium, do they have different specced HSEs?

Imported cars / cars other than UK are speced one below the uk.
So Belgium "HSE" ..would be the same as UK "SE"
Belgium "SE" ..would be same as UK "S"
Hence why you didnt see a 4x4 display G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
