I regularly tow a couple of trailers with the disco (and other vehicles), one has a 7 pin socket and the other a 13pin.
I currently have the two 12N and 12S 7 pin sockets fitted from the factory, but have been toying with the idea of getting rid of the 12S (white 7 pin socket for supplementary electrics) and replacing it with a 13 pin socket wired.
Effectively so I can have both a 13pin and a 12S (7pin) on the vehicle to avoid having to use any adapters on the trailers. I know this would need some wiring to split the feed as both sockets would need some of the same connections for lights.
Has anyone done anything similar before? Or is there any reason why this can’t be done?

Why? Keep it simple the adaptors are simple enough to use or just put 13 pin on other trailer

If it were me, I’d fit a 13pin to the car (lots more options) and then just rewire the trailer lead to a 13 pin connector. Most stuff made after 2013 uses 13 pin so that’s the way to go I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
