Scorpion AT, Duratrac or Goodyear AT3 on R19? |
|
Hello team,
Going to go for all around new set. Have AT3 at the moment for the last 4 years, no bother. In a bit of a rush to get them on befor driving to France a few weeks.
What’s peoples preference? I like aggressive looking tyres and getting her feet muddy at times.

I've just gone from Duratracs to the original Pirelli Scorpions as I'm doing a lot of tarmac driving and my range has gone from 390 to 450 miles. If you're doing a long journey, I'd suggest economy rather than aggression. If you can get a spare set of wheels for when you're playing it might be better financially. 1972 Range Rover Classic 2 door V8

back on Duratracs from Michelins CrossClimates SUV (nice rolling quiet but wearing very fast only laste under 20K)
Duratracs not so much more noisy unless well over 70 fuel consumption we averaged areound 9.3 L/100 on 2700 miles driving home for Easter average speed 84kph max 140
last set laster 4.5 years so I gues the cost of smooth rolling quiet fuel gentle boots is never gonna be justified as Duratracs just last and we never hadflat on them

Just dont see the need for tyres that at best look the dogs balls. They will hammer your fuel economy !
I only have original scorpions and have never felt i need more and mine is a working vehicle on a farm with plenty of mud. Funnily enough towed out a few last shooting season on AT3s

I will be concise, given my current experience, and due to your description and tastes, the best current compromise, I think, is the PIRELLI SCORPION AT+, for its aesthetics, comfort of use and compromise! I am delighted!! IMHO lost in translation!

I agree with Ruben. Just swapped out to PIRELLI SCORPION AT+ and the last set delivered 47k miles.
